The beautiful Seven Seas Mariner is the world's first all-suite, all-balcony ship, as well as the first to offer dining by the famed Le Cordon Bleu® of Paris in Signatures, one of four single, open-seating restaurants. Catering to only 700 guests, she is one of the most spacious ships afloat, with staff to guest ratio of 1 to 1.6 provides the highest level of personal service in the 6 star tradition of Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
ALL suites feature private balconies, European king-size beds convertible to twins, luxury European linens and feather-down duvets, a separate sitting area and marble-appointed bathroom with full bathtub andshower. There is a walk-in closet with safe; luxury European robes and cotton slippers, hair dryer; interactive television, DVD/CD player, Regent Interactive Television with a large media selection, and refrigerator replenished daily with soft drinks, beer and bottled water.
Quality nightly entertainment includes a quiet piano bar and various musical offerings, as well as live performances and Broadway musical revues presented in the state-of-the-art, two-tiered show lounge with its full-size proscenium stage. Production shows were created by renowned producer Peter Grey Terhune.
Ports of Call and Cruising Highlights:
Monte Carlo
Tiny but packed with fun, Monte Carlo offers a wonderful combination of history, beauty, entertainment and leisure. The wealthiest spot in Monaco, Monte Carlo is an enchanting place, known as the international capital of luxury and for its celebrity-sightings, casinos and nightlife. Yet, the old world shines through and art and architecture can be appreciated. Palaces, cathedrals and museums dot this small municipality in an old town full of rich history.
Marseille
Marseille, located in southeastern France, has a complicated history dating back to the seventh century BC when the Greeks arrived from Asia Minor. The town is now a far cry from the Cézanne paintings and the clichés of sleepy villages. With more than a million people, Marseille is the country’s largest commercial seaport. The vast majority of the Marsellaise are descendants of the waves of immigrants that arrived at the port in the early 19th century.
Barcelona
One of Europe’s most visually stunning cities, Barcelona balances the medieval intimacy of its Gothic Quarter with the grace and distinction of the wide boulevards in the Moderniste Eixample. It was the home of architect Antoni Gaudí, whose buildings are the most startling statements of Modernisme. The triumphant culmination of Barclona's rebirth was the staging of the 1992 Olympics, for which freeways were installed, stadiums renovated, and promenades created.
Mahon (Minorca)
Enjoy delightful Mahon and its charming shops. Then explore the island and savor its dramatic views and landscape, quaint villages, farms and well-preserved taulas of the island's megalithic civilization. Perhaps see a castle or a monastery and impressive cliff-top views.
Saint-Tropez
Enjoy the exquisite hilly Provençal countryside beyond this resort and its charming villages with their narrow stepped streets, lovely churches and stunning scenic views. Visit a local winery or take a drive along the rugged coast and revel in the wonderful views of the landscape, the beaches, the islands and the magnificent Massif des Maures.
Portofino
Picturesquely situated in a narrow cove, this tiny port owes its popularity to its beautiful setting, agreeable climate and lush and luxuriant vegetation. The town crowded around its small harbor is considered to be among the most beautiful Mediterranean ports. It has long been known as an exclusive gathering place for the wealthy, artists and actors with an ever-growing number of expensive vacation homes, waterfront restaurants and cafes, and tourist hot-spots.
Florence/Pisa (Livorno)
Livorno, located in the center of Tuscany, is the gateway to Florence. This was the birthplace of the Italian language and the inspirational Renaissance movement. From the 13th to 16th centuries, this era of creative freedom encouraged artists, scientists, writers and architects to create some of the world's most noted masterpieces. Among those who reached the heights of success were Dante, Donatello, Michelangelo, Giotto, Botticelli, da Vinci, and Machiavelli.
Civitavecchia (For Rome)
The images conjured up by the mere mention of Rome encompass everything from the Roman Catholic Church to Romulus and Remus. The city’s ancient history is so vast that many of the sights seen in history books and travel brochures are in this area. The Eternal City showcases St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in the world; the Sistine Chapel, home to Michelangelo’s brilliant ceiling; and the Trevi Fountain, a landmark renowned throughout the world.
